About this business

A Southwestern landmark for almost 70 years, the lodge is one of the longest-running restaurants in the Valley. One of the area's best locations, at the base of Camelback Mountain, makes this a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. The patio is a renowned gathering place for cocktails, sunset views and dining. Classic continental specialties are well prepared and served by a veteran staff. The famous "sticky buns" are served with every meal, as they have been for decades. Happy hours are on from 4p to 6p daily.

Me and a few riding buddies were there last Saturday and sat at the bar were are bartender Tommy took excellent care of us. The sticky buns were a nice treat. Tommy knew the menu well and recommended a few things which were all excellent. Great outdoor patio and an older crowd which made it not so loud like other restaurants.

You can't beat the food and the atmosphere at El Chorro! We sat out on the patio in front of the many gorgeous fireplaces on a warm night under a full moon for a very romantic Valentines dinner. Started with the lobster and corn bisque (outstanding!), while she had the pork tenderloin and I the braised short ribs. Everything was great, including the service. Tim and Kristy run a first-rate restaurant. If I could give 6 or more stars, I would.
