Service was good however the food was questionable. Carnitas tostada was decent, flavor-wise, but stay away from the canned crab meat taco. No liquor license-agave wine margarita tasted like margarita mix.
RecommendedThis restaurant is more than just a restaurant. Family run & loved for over 40 years. Comfort Mexican food. You can always count on what you expect. Locals love it, so will you.

The food is terrific, service is great and portions are big!! The house made chip's and salsa are excellent!

This restaurant has amazing food and an even more amazing view! The garden outside is one of the most breathtaking I have ever seen ~. See it at sunset for an extra special event. I left my credit card at the restaurant and unfortunately didn’t realize it until I was hours away the next day on my way back to Michigan. The staff worked with me and sent me my card. I even received a special card and note ! Thank you El Chorlito. Truly the BEST SERVICE ever!
The only thing that was good what is the tortilla chips. Neither my wife or I finished our meals and that is a rare occurrence. Even the sangria was only so-so!
We went hiking along the coast and my fiancé hurt his ankle, so we stopped in El Chorlito. We sat on their beautiful patio and had a delicious margarita and guacamole tostada. Good food! On our way out we asked about Uber or a taxi, as my fiancé was definitely hurting. A sweet lady approached us and offered us a ride back to Cambria. It just so happened to be the owners. They were the most kind and fun people. They’ve restored my confidence in humanity. P.S. this year they’re celebrating 40 years of marriage. ♥️♥️♥️
