If you're interested in great food and a good (albeit loud) atmosphere this is the place for you. If service is also important to you I would move along. We had a party of 10, with reservations, we had to wait outside for over a half an hour to be seated. Then, after about 45 minutes our waitress finally got around to taking our food order. I have been going to the El Chihuahua for more than thirty years. What more can I say?
Been going there for about a year and every single time it's AWESOME!! Their salsa, enchiladas, and drinks are all soooo damn good!! It does get pretty busy but I'm guessing that's because people love it as much as my wife and I. If you can, I very much recommend the Death Stars.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Salt Lake! El Chihuahua combines an amazingly fun environment with equally amazing food & drinks! The staff is always friendly and the taco salad is DELICIOUS! If you're ever in town, this is a must...you will not be disappointed!
