If at the mention of Mexican food, chilaquiles and tortilla chips along with hot salsa dip come to mind, then this is the restaurant for you. Service is known to be extremely slow to say the least. But then patrons are always known to cool down when their famous chilled cactus juice is served. Ale lovers could always opt for Corona beer as they have a liquor permit. Settings are pretty warm and family-place like.

The waiter was really nice and pleasant.
Opening day outside. Still great food and staff. The owners are trying hard to jump start this business after covid19 closure.
The whole vibe was very chill and festive, great service and food 😎
So amazing on both visits. The steak quesadilla is amazing
In New York on vacation and was referred to El Centro by someone at our hotel. So glad we decided to have dinner there. Excellent food, generous portions and service was great!
Friendly service and great food. Fun atmosphere away from some of the craziness in Midtown. We first went during a trip to NYC in 2017, and again in 2019. Really enjoyed it both times. Highly recommend.
The food & service was absolutely amazing!
The ancho dressing was superb as was the sea bass and grilled shrimp. We’ll be back!
