RecommendedWe moved here early 2020 and have tried all of the Mexican restaurants in Chesterton as well as others in surrounding cities... This is by far our favorite! Great regular salsa and if you like it hot, try the tomatilla salsa! Love the grilled shrimp taco's, combo lunch special with burrito & taco...and of course the fajita's Cantarito for 2... with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, and carnita's!!!

El Cantarito catered my son’s open house and did an amazing job. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and efficient. You can tell Fernando truly loves what he does, and wants everyone to enjoy his food. They setup in our driveway and served until everything was gone. Our guests raved about it, and the best part is they’re very affordable, too!
Saw billboard going from Chicago to Middlebury Indiana and looked it up. Does not disappoint. Great margaritas , chips and guacamole was fabulous. Dinner was great and so was service! Glad We made a slight detour for dinner! Being from Ca sometimes it’s hard to find good Mexican food!
the food is fantastic! drive up orders works well a little slow but worth the wait the servers are working heard tip well!
