Since 1969, family recipes have been served at El Burritos in Las Vegas. In the spring of '69, Romolo and Mary Grace Duran set out on a venture to open a leather goods store. But, in the course of that venture, came to open up a small Mexican restaurant on Fremont Street called "El Burrito Caf." Now, with two locations, the tradition continues with their son, David Duran. Great service My dad and I love coming here just to catch up once a month, and all its good..!!
I went in last week and was sat down in this cute spot with lights above me. Immediately was greeted and ordered a guacamole and Margarita. The margarita was so good and strong. Surprised . I am a margarita expert. The guacamole was def hand made I could taste the lime and flavor in each bite. Owner was nice but quiet said he had been in business for 28 years. Why is this not a franchise I don't know! Will be back every Sunday!
How can you not love a family owned restaurant? As a native of Las Vegas I find it hard to find a tasty, environmentally friendly, locally owned spot. My family and I adore this place! Great bar and amazing food. Green chili and the house soup area a must!! YUMMMMY!
Please, if you value your health do not eat here. The chicken enchIladas and chili rellano all tasted funny as did the chips, kinda like rancid grease. After only a couple of chips and a bite or two each of the rice, beans and enchilada I was done, it was the worst food I've had in the 8 years I've lived here. I barely got home, (I live five minutes away) and I immediately got sick. Needless to say we will NEVER go back!!
Luv this Restaurant – This is a wonderful family restaurant! I feel like family when i walk in the door! The food and Margarita's are excellent and portions are big. I dine at this restaurant 1to 2 times a week.
El Burrito – Their food is the best Mexican food in Las Vegas. Every time I eat there I can expect the delicious house soup along with sizzling fajitas (which to my surprise had no fat). The employees are extremely friendly and treat you like family every time you walk in the door. I have never had a problem there except for the time that some idiot was screaming about a coupon policy. He was yelling and cursing at the top of his lungs at the owner for no reason. Ripped off by El Burrito! – We have been long time customers of this restaurant. We used a "take $10 off a $40 check" coupon from the Entertainment Book. When our bill came, they added a $10 "gratuity" and then took $10 off. (we had 5 people in our group) Wow..when we asked why they had taken the liberty of adding a tip..they said that if we were going to use a coupon, that was the rule! THIS WAS NOT ON THE COUPON. The coupon does state a guideline for tipping, but no mention of a mandatory $10 add-on. The owner was abrasive... read more
I checked out this restaurant a few months ago hoping to find decent mexican food, and they really exceeded my expectations, quality is always kept up when I go in and by far the best guacamole in town if your looking for a place to check out for some good mexican food I would more than suggest el burrito.
