RecommendedEl Barrio is my absolute favorite! I used to visit various mexican restaurants in the area but after discovering El Barrio about a year ago I haven’t been anywhere else! I try to go at least once a week. The food is amazing, they provide chips and salsa to dine-in customers, and their prices are reasonable. They also have daily specials on the weekdays that are great deals! If you haven’t been you should!!

Menu prices were great! Very generous portions! Taco salad was delicious.
I will never eat there again! They almost poisoned me by putting something on my burrito that I can't eat after clearly asking for no tomato, they put on tomato anyway. After calling I was assured I would receive a free 1 when I returned. When I went to redeem my free burrito they tried to substitute a steak burrito for a lengua burrito. I hate steak but insisted I ordered steak, then treated me like dirt. I hope that they are treated like I was when the health department inspects them.

I stay in the city, but out in Romeoville for a week. Don't know any place to eat around here that isn't a fast food place. I did UberEats for a taco and a burrito. Let me just say I'm super picky! This spot is definitely amazing!! The burrito was.. to... die... foooor!! It was seriously delicious. The taco was a bit small, buuut yummy!!
Best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had.
