I’m currently a patient at Eisenhower Memorial. I have never had such better service and care than I’ve had here. Your doctors are absolutely amazing of explaining all the details to what they’re gonna do for me what they have done for me and what I need to do to help myself the nurses the staff, the Assistance they’re all amazing. Went to the er because I was unable to eat or drink without extreme pain. And when I forced myself to eat or drink, my throat would start to close up from swelling. The doctor saw me for maybe 60 seconds and told me to "tough it out" because I'm young. Didn't let me get any word out about the pain or difficulty of eating/drinking or about how doing so makes it worse to the point where I can't breathe. Just told me to "tough it out". My husband was taken to the Eisenhower medical center emergency room Rancho Mirage the end of February for a possible heart attack. The admitting staff (with the exception of one gentleman who offered help) was cold, uncaring, quite unprofessional, harsh, unaccommodating, unsupportive, even ignoble. The treatment we received only added to our already highly stressful situation. I have never encountered such ill treatment in a place purposed to help not harm.
EMC is a terrible facility. I was infected with staph there and later with klebsiella in the urinary tract which is now permanent.Doctors claimed that klebsiella in antibiotic resistant but EMC did a week of antibiotic IVs for several thousand dollers that did not help. Beware of EMC !!!
Dr. Evangelos Diamantakos is an outstanding doctor in many different ways. He takes plenty of time with you you explaining the details and answering your questions. In his discussions with you, will feel part of the family. He is through, detail, and no guess work. You can count on what he said. He put a pacemaker in and there was not one issue with the operation and the follow up He is highly recommended!
Great nurses staff. Great doctors. Unfortunately, the emergency room services needs a lot of help. My mom fell. Came to the emergency room, could not get a nurse to give her ice for her head. I had to call from LA to ask the nurse. My mom called me to call back and said please call them again. They put the ice in the wrong spot. No one would respond to her.
