I occasionally come here for a silk press and the experience is usually top tier but yesterday feb 26, I came in and the experience was not up to par for a few reasons . Yes they did wash & blow dry my hair as requested and for that I tipped $13. However I will not be returning and will be sticking to the other salon in merrillville. I came in for a wash and silk press and I was not disappointed. I'll definitely be back again.
Update; I wrote the review 7 years ago. I have not been to them for a while. The shampoo guy is terrible. He pulled plugs of my hair out. When I showed Dos and Muhammad I was very surprised by their response. They were very nonchalant and tried to tell me that it was normal for plugs of my hair to be pulled out because I just had braids. I let them know that it’s not normal as there was stinging and soreness from him pulling on my hair. They have changed a lot since I last came there. I will not be going back.
