Loved Jayne’s Instagram, so traveled from the deep East Bay for a rare Saturday appointment, having spent a significant amount of time uploading images ahead of my session. Got there to discover I was supposed to book two sessions, one for the cut and one for the color, although nobody actually told me that. So I had the color, which was fine but lopsided, and then had to spend hours of my Saturday frantically trying to find an open appointment for the cut. So wearingly disappointing.
I paid nearly $300 for what was supposed to be a quick trim. The stylist started 15 minutes late in a strict one-hour slot because she was having her own hair cut in the salon — in clear view of me waiting. Despite my checking in, no one prompted her to begin my appointment. The appointment was then cut short by about 25%, and my hair wasn’t even dried, yet I was still charged in full.
