I want to Dr. Cleeman becasue of knee pain. I found the entire office and the experience very subpar and shoddy. Firstly, the medical assistance could not even wait until we got into the the cubicle. She asked me personal questions while we walked to the exam room. Then Dr. Cleeman came in and as soon as he realized I did not need surgery he was not the least bit interested in me or my concerns. Dr. Cleeman has been my principal orthopedist for many years and has operated on me. He is a very competent surgeon, with a superb bedside manner and very knowledgable. There is however a major problem with the Manhattan Orthopedic practice of which he is a partner...it is that it is now so expanded with about 6-7 doctors, a huge support staff, new, very expensive, vast offices, that Dr. Cleeman simply does not give you enough time. It's due to the time/revenue he is obviously under.
I was referred to Dr Cleeman by some people I know through work.They raved about his time with each patient, surgical talent and office decor. I had the same experience. It's clear that Dr Cleeman is extremely bright and knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what's happening and best course of action and his nice office is a bonus. I also didn't wait long to get called in. Good reason why he is always acknowledged as top Dr by New York magazine every year
Dr Cleeman helped me with my shoulder injury. He suggested conservative treatment , which worked. The office and staff are nice, but most importantly the doctor is great.
I went to see Dr Cleeman as my regular physican was away. He has a terrible bed side manner. Needed help with computer to view X-rays and let me wait all day for MRI results. When trying to explain how I felt over the phone. He was clearly speaking to someone else in the office. It's sad to see this office has turned into a money making machine without the patients interest being put first
Struggled for 6 months with shoulder calcification buildup, consulted pain doctors, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, laser etc... One visit with Dr.Cleeman and he worked out a plan for me and suggested sonogram guided needle aspiration, I'm 100% now. The office is very professional and they do not make you wait very long, appointments are right on time.
I had bad foot pain and couldn't walk. Needed to see an orthopedist ASAP. Dr. Cleeman is near my office and he squeezed me in within a few hours. He diagnosed a stress fracture and got me into a walking boot and immediate physical therapy. He's smart and approachable and clearly explained the diagnosis and the treatment plan.
