Get your agreement in writing, and don’t pay her before she works. She is a hard worker, but quite unprofessional in her communication and her pricing strategy.
Would not recommend Michelle Border with Edges & Borders. She was our landscaper, just stopped coming. No notice - we have rental properties and a business to run so this was a problem, and bad timing. We didn't even know she stopped until our assistant dropped by to check on things. Then she said a few times she would come and service us, but didn't. And then she ignored my emails. Why not just tell me she didn't want the job anymore, I'd rather just be told that. Made no sense. She was good at first, then petered out.
I should have looked up reviews prior to hiring Michelle. She and her crew (which is non existent) gave me high hopes but end the end she quit after her second lawn mowing. She asked for $250 upfront for a weekly now, worked really hard the first visit and did a decent job. Then the next weeks mowing was completely different. She obviously did not want to be there and did an awful job leaving grass everywhere and even using my debris container which we agreed would not be used.
