steak, steak, steak – they have the best steak and onion rings in town. period. i've eaten at almost every steakhouse in town and this place is the best. always cooked exactly as i ordered it. quality of meat is excellent.
From My Perspective... – My wife and I came in for drinks after hearing about it from a friend. First of all - the valet is NOT free - but $4.50 on Saturday (which is still better than wasting time searching for free parking). The Bar/Restaurant has some great patios/outdoor seating which is more conducent to socializing. Truely a great mix of all types, or I should say of "laid back" types - which is refreshing. Little Silver Lake Fairyland – I disagree with the negative reviews. I have been here many times and it's one of my favorite little local places to get appetizers and drinks. I dunno...maybe because I moved here from NYC, but the prices don't shock me for what you get. They make a FANTASTIC martini and their meatloaf is PHENOMENAL. Could have been better. . . . – From the beginning it seemed like a romantic setting with alot of beautiful scenery and the service was very nice, but once the salads arrived I knew that was going to be the let down. With prices higher than the other local restaurants, you would expect the meals to be de-lish. over it – i used to love this place. the last couple of times i visited the food just tasted like nothing. i thought they'd put their best foot forward for easter brunch and brought someone here for the 1st time. they hated it. i hated it. the bill was $80 for 2- it was prix fixed but as an example, their idea of "assorted muffins and scones" was a half of a blueberry muffin, a raisin scone, and a stale-ish half a loaf of cinammon bread. yuck. i'll never be back. i even expressed myself on the comment card and haven't even g... read more
I Can't Hear U? – The Edendale Grill is in a gorgeous building. Unfortunately the inside is lacking in ambience, food, and price value. I hate restaurants that are SO LOUD you can't hear the conversation at the table. Besides the noise the food was sub-par. The table side Ceasar was one of the worst I have ever had? Never Again – Cesar salad for 2, 1 shrimp cocktail appetizer and one drink each. $60 with tip & valet. For 2 people this was the biggest rip off I've ever seen. The Cesar Salad for 2 ($18) is made by your table. I guess it's their signature menu item so we gave it a try. It was ok but I've had better Cesar Salads out of a jar. Best mojitos in L.A. – I love everything about his restaurant and bar. They have the best mojitos! The food is good, the restaurant is beautiful, and the service is terrific. GO!!!
Great Bartenders – We love this bar! Every time we go, the bartenders are friendly and get us our drinks quickly. They all make a damn fine martini and the wine and beer selection is good. Drink prices are more reasonable than other 'trendy' silverlake spots. And we always end up in conversation with some of the other customers. Everyone is in a good mood and just out to have a good time. They key is to go after 10pm. Street parking is easier and the dinner crowd has moved on. I highly recommend this place.
