I had a great experience purchasing a machine, with Dawn. It was a few mins before the store closed and my sewing machine (a gift) was broken so I brought it in, with the intention of having it fixed and renting a machine ($25) for a day. Half hour later I left with a $450 machine, feeling like I would use the machine more, be more comfortable with it and feeling like Dawn really took the time to understand my comfort level w/sewing and my needs. I like that they offer a 6 hour class to learn about your machine (although the... read more

I did a lot of shopping around for my new sewing machine/serger. I knew what price point I wanted to spend for both machines, but I needed to test a lot of machines in the process. Britney explained the benefits of the different machines (Bernina, Babylock, Juki), and I didn't feel pressured to buy at any point in time and I wasn't in any big rush to purchase. After a recent anniversary sale, I thought I would finally buy my machine on sale. The sale prices applied to the MSRP, not the standard price they offered. I was a bi... read more

An awesome little shop perfect for sewing, quitting, crocheting, and just about any other crafty thing you can think of. The employees are incredibly nice, and they have an excellent selection of fabrics and patterns. This is definitely a step up from some of the more commercial fabric shops, and I think that the employees really take this to being a 5 star experience. I'm a fan, and I will be returning!

I have been shopping here pretty regularly for about two years. Although the big box stores have great prices and a million coupons, they don't carry the professional tools or products from smaller specialty vendors the way Eddies does. I found great products such as large rolls of Swedish tracing paper, transfer paper, specialty rulers, double tracing wheels, and vintage tweed! Much of my holy grail tools were found here. The staff has always been very friendly and informative. I know that if there is a new product that I w... read more

I took my little sister here for the machine basics class and it was great! we both loved it and walked out with a pillow. the teacher was nice, she went through the steps a little fast but if you wait your turn she will come around and show you. i didn't know that we were only making pillow covers and the cotton for the pillow be extra, but other than this it was a nice experience for myself and my 10 year old sister. My sister was able to sew her pillow cover and walked out very proud of her creation!

Eddie's Quilting Bee is your go-to place to buy a sewing machine. They have a great selection and a knowledgeable staff. I did take a class (we made pillow covers) on how to use a sewing machine, and I found it extremely helpful. As for the cons, while they do have a wide range of fabric, like somebody else mentioned, I thought the choice was a little dated. Also, Eddie really pushes Babylocs which cost close to a grand, and I found it slightly uncomfortable. But overall, it's a nice place to shop, and the people are friendl... read more

I love this place! The people who work here and the customers who frequent it are so friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of very cute fabrics (including Amy Butler) and they offer lots of classes from beginning sewing to how to use a serger
