RecommendedVery nice service and they have it all — very good ramp to launch from. Excellent bait shop. Nice restraunt, service place, cabins rental boats, gasoline ... all you have to do is show up. Catching fish is a bonus!
This place is the best. Great prices on rentals and bait / tackle. Owner and staff are super friendly. Will definitely be back.
For decades, this has been a jewel on the Chickahominy for gathering friends and family or taking a solo boat ride out on the lake. Now they have music festivals throughout the summer that make it even more of a draw for camping, and only 45 minutes from Richmond! 🐠 🐶 🚣♂️ 🎶
Just finished our annual two days of fishing before the Richmond race from Ed Allen’s. Love doing this twice a year since, I’m not sure when! Ed is the best! Always use the campgrounds to park the motor home & rent the boats from Ed. Between the 5 of us, we all caught fish. I caught the biggest bass at 4.2 lbs. but everyone had a great time catching bass, chain pickerel, bowfin, cats, & one sunfish. Definitely looking forward to our fall trip! See you then Ed!
