Terrible service. I don't recommend them.
Another reviewer mentioned they were "Brutal on policy payments" and they were NOT joking. Had home insurance with Economical for about a decade, never made a claim. Just had my plan cancelled and was charged a $265.43 cancellation fee for being a few days late paying $6.96. I'd have been better off pouring my insurance money into a pit in the ground for 10 years and burning it. I'd have gotten the same amount of money back ($0), but at least the pit wouldn't have charged me >$200 over a late <$7.
Rude, insensitive and likely incompetent adjustors! Never return phone calls within a business day. It took months to get a payout for an accident 0% my fault. Had to take time away from work! Rental car for a few days. When you do get an adjustor, usually after 1-2 hour wait times, they sound depressed and suicidal. Get a grip Economical!
Absolutely the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with in my 16 years of driving. I had two claims with them and thought the first one might have been a one off bad experience. During the second claim, I was lied to right from the get go, told to find my own repair shop to do the repairs, I was given a rental car for 50 days when my vehicle took just shy of SIX MONTHS to repair, and I was ghosted multiple times by multiple adjusters. Never ever sign up for this company if you care about your sanity.
Will never use these people again! Had a claim, during Fiona, they wanted to give me $2000 for my car and not get it back! I told them where to go!
