Our room wasn't ready when we arrived on a Friday afternoon. After waiting a few minutes for someone to show up to check us in, Chrissy did so, & explained that one of the housekeepers quit earlier that day. She worked hard getting our room ready, & was very pleasant. Management: please give her a raise, & some help! This property is rather run-down inside & out, & looks its age (50-60 years old?) The room was nice like most hotels, but the exterior and the location is definitely not going to sell the place. There's a motorcycle in front of the hotel for quite a while due to a flattening front tire, which has had the oil drained into a pan. This drain pan has overflowed many times due to the rain. The rear access door has a card reader, which does not work. At 9:30pm, someone tried to enter our room. The upper door lock is the only thing that kept the person out. We pulled up to this motel and immediately cancelled our reservation. Dirty, shady looking and just scary. It was bad enough that my brother asked if we bought our gun because he was scared to stay without it. We lost money by canceling but it’s better than not feeling safe.
