Spends a lot of time with a patient but using analogies verses directly answering a question. Left us always researching or reaching out to others for clarity verses ever receiving it from him. Many times he would give us incorrect information as I don’t think he ever really reviewed a chart prior to coming in to the room prior to a check up. Disappointed is putting it nicely.
By far the most honest, Down to earth, kindest dr I have ever known. Very smart but doesn't show boat. If he isn't sure about something he will research it till he is 100% confident in the answer. He is a man of faith and family. A true Hero in the cancer field. If you or a loved one is ever faced with an oncology problem you will feel very safe and cared for with Dr. Eckenrode.
Dr Eckenrode was an excellent listener and was able to process necessary medical information and weed out unnecessary information and develop an assessment of my medical problem which is quite complicated and unusual. With first visit he ordered tests that clearly confirmed his initial assessment. He is a very pleasant man, easy to talk to and knowledgeable.
