I am leaving MU Missouri Orthopedic Institute because of their overall lack of accountability. I went days with no reply when I called in pain, when the meds did not work… staff told me to take my meds & go to the ER. Verghese has his feet out the door - opening a new clinic in Jefferson City. I came in for chronic pain in my legs and was prescribed a whole slew of nerve pain meds over 10 years and never thoroughly examined. Finally I discovered that the bulk of my problem was my low back, not my legs. I went back. They did an MRI. But still did not thoroughly examine me, just had me bend over. Dr. Varghese is a high-tech pain doctor. He is not there to give you pain meds. He's there to give you long-term solutions such as steroid shots and ablations. The procedures require a high level of skill and I have always had amazing results. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I was a patient of Dr. Varghese for a couple years for an ablation procedure i required every so many months. His bedside manner is appalling to say the least. I have never been the patient of a doctor more self righteous, arrogant, and uncaring as he. He possessed little to no compassion for me considering the amount of pain I live with. very caring and he takes time to explain what he is doing before and during the procedure!
I have never seen a more arrogant doctor. I discovered multiple errors in my medical record from where I live to inaccurate medication times and he is refusing to correct them. I have had nothing but trouble with this doctor as he is only interested in CDC recommendations and not his patients. Another example is my wife goes to him and she is on Nuycenta for pain. Because she isn't interested in having an implant to stop the pain, he is going to drop her. An implant caused the pain she has.
comes off as a know it all n he knows your truly have pain or not. more interested in government guidelines than treating his patients pain. only cares about numbers not the pain they are experiencing. Husband has very bad arthritis in his hips needs replacement but needs to lose weight can’t loose weight due to immobility due to severe pain the doctor is refusing to give him any pain meds due to a mess up with his meds so now he thinks he’s drug shopping even tho we proved he wasn’t very unreas
I 1st saw Dr Varghese 4 years ago for low back pain and hip pain. He was determined to find what was causing my hip pain and finally did. All others just brushed me off. He cared and got to the bottom of it. I highly recommend him to anyone!!!! I am returning for continued treatment of my arthritis and SI joint pain.
I seen Mr Varghese a year ago. He didn't look once at my information on paper they provide,half listen to my symptoms, and put incorrect information on my files about how pain started. Please don't go to pain management team in Rolla Missouri either. They are just as bad. Lease they read my information I proved,but did not believe the steroid shots increase incontinence of bladder and bowels with pelvic pain,Increase Anxiety ,nausea,and waste lite green.
