Cool Pizza – They could have been busy but when i went there it took the staff awhile to even take my order...however... i understand that this happens. the pizza was delish and the toppings were generous. i plan on supporting this indie-pizza on my lunch breaks. yum!

Business response:

We appreciate the kind words regarding your tasty pizza! I'm sure you'll get faster service in the future. We're usually pretty good. Make sure you get a punch card when you come in next time, too. If we forget to offer, just ask. Thanks, John and the gang.

A delicious, friendly place – This is a really great place. The owners there are friendly and seem very enthusiastic about their business. What's really unique about it is there's so many options. You can choose from marinara, cream cheese, basil cream, pesto, garlic olive oil and ricotta sauces, different cheeses and lots of different toppings, like roasted garlic and sun dried tomatos. There's so many different delicious combinations, and other great options on the menu. And your order comes out FAST. A good choice for whe... read more

Nothing special! You can find better elsewhere! – We've been in Portland for a year now....moved here from Boston, and we are STILL looking for "our favorite" pizza restaurant. We read the glowing reviews for EAT PIZZA, so last Friday decided to give it a go. We had planned to dine in the restaurant, but there are literally four tables; and they are so tiny, there is no possible way to fit a large pizza on any of them. So we changed our order "to go". We were impressed that there are no extra charges for any of the toppings,... read more

Business response:

We would like to have the opportunity to make this right. It's entirely possible that you received a pizza made beneath our standards. We had a short period of time where our dough was being stretched improperly causing it to be too thin in the middle. This will affect the overall quality of the pie. We have more integrity than to post comments about ourselves. Please contact me and I'll work with you. Thanks, John.

Best Cheese Pizza in Portland- The Alla Casalinga – My partner & I are HUGE pizza lovers & we've been wanting to try Eat Pizza for a few months but have not got around to it until today. WE hoped to get slices & they don't do that. Only mini pizza's for $5.99 each which was a wee bit more than we wished to spend. Then what caught our eye was the Pizza Alla Casalinga. It's a very simple pie, but MY GOD was it GOOD! The crust was rectangle shaped and had an herb garlic olive oil infusion that made it crispy in the best way. Th... read more

Delicious, high quality food at low costs, served by friendly folks. A+ – I'm a frequent diner in the Portland area, and am familiar with all of the traditional, chain and upscale restaurants in the southwestern area of town. I've been seeking a local place that produces great food at a reasonable cost, operates with venerable and prompt service, and sticks to their high standards with impeccable consistency. Eat Pizza does all of things and remains humble, which is wonderful. I know that if I made food this delectable, I'd ... read more

Business response:

We checked with the city, they are thinking about removing one of the Eastbound lanes on Burnside to make way for some extra parking for our BOOMING business. Seriously, though, don't be afraid. You'll likely find a street parking spot within a couple of blocks. If you are just coming in to get take-out, call us when you're close and we'll toss the pizza in your car as you roll by. You don't even have to come to a complete stop. If all else fails, try the street spots next to Fred Meyer. Turnover there is high so your sure t... read more

A good pizza on it's own terms! – I believe that the joy of pizza as cuisine is in enjoying the uniqueness of each pie offered by any given pizzeria. Really, what other simple food could vary so dramatically between restaurants? I love pizza, and I've eaten pizza from coast to coast, from New York and Baltimore, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, to California and Portland, and everywhere in between. Eliminating the lowest of the low (Pizza Hut, eh....), I have very rarely met a fresh slice that I wasn't at least content with. One o... read more

Believe it! This place is good! – I'm not a pizza fanatic. But, Eat Pizza is conveniently located across Burnside from a video rental store, and as a coupon-wielding local, I decided to give it a try one lazy evening. Despite the variety of other creative combos, I decided for the house special, the Alla Casalinga. It normally comes in two square sizes, but they cordially agreed to make me one as a round mini. I've only been nack once, but the workers were very friendly both times. They also offer sandwiches, four different ... read more
