The #7 – You know the moment you're in a place with (only) cops and construction workers that you've landed somewhere good. Wait in the line and get the #7. Do it. You're ordering roast beef that's been soaking in au jois, piled atop corned beef that's been soaking in marinara, covered in green peppers and provolone cheese. Before you get to a table, add parmesan, pepperoncinis and red pepper flakes and allot time for a two-hour nap.
Can you handle the D.A. Special? – This is an L.A. institution. Awesome! – Food is awesome, especially the hot sandwiches. Try the combo special if you are up to it...meatball, pastrami, roast beef and Italian sausage. Oh, I can taste it just writing about it, trust me, get lots of napkins and don't plan on eating again for a while.
EASTSIDE DELI – Excellent food such as lasagna, Italian salad, meatballs and Italian sauage. I am stuffed now with the most delicious Italian food I ever tasted.
Nice Basic Italian Sandwiches – Nice cheap food made with care and very homestyle. Long lines if you don't arrive early. Meatball and Eggplant Sandwich are favorites.
