We went with this one since it was a little more price friendly - wouldn't say we had high expectations, but based on photos from their website, looked like a comfortable enough place to stay. However, the pictures on their website did NOT at all match what our room looked like, and honestly feel like they're rather deceptive. Based off of the reviews, pictures, and price, I thought this would be a normal budget friendly hotel that doesn't have the bells and whistles to keep price down. The room I stayed in was in terrible condition: it reeked of cigarettes, the sheets were dirty, the shower didn't work properly, there was a wadded up tissue shoved into the peep hole from the last guest(?) that hadn't been removed by housekeeping. Upon arrival, we were told that our room was not renovated and “super old” and that we should pay to upgrade. When we went into this un-renovated room, it smelled awful and was extremely dirty (white powder and stains all over the carpet for one), so we had no choice but to upgrade. I’m not sure why it is my responsibility as a customer to pay extra because you have not renovated your room. The WiFi did not work and almost crashed my computer. I would not recommend connecting. No coffee neither in the room or at the reception. But at least the room was nice.
2026.08 stay - hotel has updated well since last time I stayed. Rooms are in better shape. ———— Accommodations are all that you need. They recently updated the front office a bit. Location is awesome. Right across from the Doug Fir, walking distance to Burnside Brewing and lots of other good eats.
