The food is caked in seasoning to cover up the poor quality and the customer service and professionalism (from the owner in particular) is nonexistent.
RecommendedOMG, this was our 72nd DDD. So delicious. Drove here from MD. We would definitely hit this place up again if we were in the area. Fantastic.
I really do enjoy East Side Fish Fry however I do have a couple of issues. I don't like the batter because it doesn't cover the food. The food is always cold when it's delivered by Postmates. Online orders are not checked before they go out. I asked for extra butter on my order from a hour ago and got none at all. I really wish they would try other batter options even if it cost extra I would pay.
Only reason I will come back is for frog legs for someone else. 1 hr and 30 minute wait the first time. Last time I went they were supposed to text me when my food was ready. I came back an hour later and all our food was cold. Then I got the text my food was ready. I was not given a time that it would be done. I asked for no seasoning on my dinner, and they still put it on. $50 + for 3 people to eat. Too pricey. We live in Grand Rapids and have friends on the east side of the state. Every month we pick a place about half way between us to meet for lunch and spend time visiting and catching up. Today this was our restaurant choice. It was GREAT, The food was very good and so was the staff. Let’s face it, when you get together with friends sometime you can get a little loud and have a lot of fun. Today was no different, and the staff even joined in (they really didn’t have much choice🙂). We will definitely be returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
