The desk staff at the Norfolk office are not the best. I have scheduled appointments, just for them to be rescheduled and pushed back to a further date despite being high risk and having to be seen at least every 2 weeks. A lot of times they are done last minute, and I have had instances where they’ve been canceled and rescheduled without my knowledge or consent. Worst place ever
Been an African American EVMS patient for about 10 years. 1. Never experienced any discrimination or colorism here. 2. This practice offers equitable solutions while others will recommend a hysterectomy and say “you’ll never give birth.” I had that experience at The Group for Women and was referred to EVMS when I decided to not follow their advice. 3. The providers are great. The desk staff? AWFUL. The nurse triage line doesn’t even call you back. I’ve been hung up on multiple times while trying to make appointments. Doctor says I’m at weekly visits now and I’m still waiting three weeks to be seen. It’s honestly infuriating.
