B.S. reviews – Most of theses reviews were written by the same person. If you look, there are legitimate reviews in 2002, the next one is in 2005, then a couple in 2006 then one in 2008. Then there are 10 reviews in a row giving it 5 stars that were written in a 2 week period between September 6th and 21st 2009. What a load of horse cronkie. Try to be less obvious next time
It Takes a Village – East Village just might be the breeding ground for the next surge of patriotic pride. One visit here and you’ll completely forget how upset you were over the sale of Budweiser to that Belgian company.
Unnatural Disaster – The men's bathroom is disgusting. It smells like vomit and pee. It was painted with white primer too. What a low rent place!
East to Wes – I went in there with some of my girlfriends the other night and we sat at the corner table. I was astonished by the arrogance of the bartender, Wes. He acted like he was God's gift to women or something. He must have been having a bad night because he barely said two words to us as he slung our drinks at us. We weren't expecting him to flirt with us but we didn't expect him to be downright rude. We asked for our bill and left. We headed to another bar where we were treated with a little more respect. We wound u... read more
Don't beileve the BS – Obviously the owners or managers at EV have stacked some positive reviews to counteract the negative reviews on this site. This place is hardly worth 5 stars. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Today I went in and ordered the maple wings. What I got was the Buffalo wings. I thought, ok, I'll deal with it. The wings tasted terrible. The sauce wasn't hot nor did it evenly coat the wings. Then, about the 5th wing, I found a long blonde hair. I am shaved bald and brown-haired so it obviously wasn't mine. Then on the b... read more
Our favorite when in Raleigh – No trip to NCSU would be complete without a stop here for good chow and cold suds. As long as you are "of age", you will be welcomed with open arms by the staff and fellow patrons, as well. Two thumbs up for East Village - and thanks to Jo for her hospitality!
My Favorite Bar – This review is coming from a guy who has been to nearly every bar in Raleigh. During my lengthy tenure at NC State, I went to bars all over the area. Once I came accross East Village, I knew I had a winner. The Coors Light special is tough to beat, and the staff is phenomenal. I will always go back to East Village and have recommend many others to do the same.
What a great place - with great people!! – I could not agree more with the posting below - the one about a great college bar. I went to Penn State and had a favorite bar there - "The Skeller" - and East Village has all the same great qualities!! Over the last 1o years 3 of my sons have attended (and graduated from) NCSU and this is simply the best place to go to have a relaxing and fun evening with one or more of your kids. The bartenders and waitstaff there are fabulous - they are fun, attentive to your needs, and simply ma... read more
#1 Bar in Raleigh – During my time at N.C. State University I spent the majority of my weekend nights trolling from bar to bar in search of a good time. It wasn't until I graduated and was introduced to East Village that I had my own "college bar." East Village is everything you could want: cheap drinks, great food, outdoor seating, and an excellent staff. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you will too call them your favorite college bar. From the smiling faces when you walk in the door to the exceptional service thi... read more
