I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Hickerson and his staff. After undergoing an extremely personal and invasive examination, I was told that my diagnosis was “no big deal” and that diabetes was a worse diagnosis. I was also told that I didn’t really need medication and that the condition could simply be monitored. The dismissive attitude toward my concerns left me feeling unheard and unsupported. Dr. Hickerson and his staff are a very welcoming group. He came into my son’s room at the hospital with a smile on his face, greeted my son, his patient first. I knew then, he was going to be a great doctor. My son remembered his name out of all the doctors coming into his son’s room because of the way he greeted my son. Sometimes we have to look at the small things first. And there after, Dr. Hickerson and his Nurse Practitioner was on top of everything by keeping communication going to the results. He treated my brother. If it had not been for him snd his PA, I’m afraid we would have lost him. Our family recommends him with our whole being!!
