Giving one star because zero is not an option – I had been warned about going to this Hardware store for years by neighbors and friends. I had always been told that the owners were hostile and would "rip you off" given the opportunity. Unfortunately, I did not listen and tried to shop there recently. I was treated rudely, yelled at by one of the employees and threatened. Everyone should be warey of not only shopping here...but even going in the vicinity of this location.
to be fair – sorry other folks may of had problems, but i haven't. It's better than home depot, and near my home. they are nice enough and they have everything.
Bad Service + Bad Selection = Lost customer – I have been to this store numerous times and each time I ask my self why do I go back. I want to support local businesses but the service at this store stinks every time and the stock is as old as the guy behind the counter. I tried to get help for ten minutes, just to be ignored over and over. When I did get someone to help me, they walked off to do something else. After ten more minuets of trying to get help I left. East Sac Hardware Store = Terrible Customer Service... I thought there was hidden cameras somewhere. – On June 4th 2008, I bought an item and on June 18th 2008 I tried to return this unopened item. The older bald guy told me that he couldn't give me a refund becasuse I bought it at 1:00pm on the 4th and it was now 1:30pm on the 18th... my 14 day return limit expired by 30 minutes!!!
