Accommodations are limited in Eagle River, Alaska. In my opinion, the Eagle River Lodge is the best option — but that’s not saying much. Despite the name, this is not a lodge; it’s a motel. It has been newly remodeled, but the bones are still those of a cheap motel. There is no elevator to access its three stories — only an exterior staircase.
