I had great service at this store. The yarn was beautiful. The knitters were to one side & it was easy to maneuver around them. The staff were knowledgable and helpful.
I had put off visiting after reading the negative review. Wish I hadn't. The store is well supplied, I was immediately greated with a smile and all the help that I was looking for.
I've been unimpressed all three times I've visitied. I didn't see prices on the yarn or posted anywhere. Once, when a woman asked if I needed any help, another woman who I think was the owner jumped to tell her that I was "just browsing." That sealed it, if I want cashmere or a pair of fancy needles, I'll drive twice as far or just order them online.
The only "neighborhood specialty yarn store" in the Ross Twp/McCandless Boro area. The yarns are to die for. They have classes both days and evenings, which is nice for those of us that work full time. They also have an online newsletter that you can subscribe to by email.I couldn't give five stars to DITW because the store is way too small for the number of people they try to cram in for classes; and the classes are held right in the middle of the store on those awful hard metal folding chairs.
