I went to Dr. Volkmer for a 2nd opinion on my shoulder after the first surgeon I saw at Avera dismissed it. After 3 months of Physical Therapy, I wanted a 2nd opinion since I was still pretty limited in the use of my dominant arm. Dr. Volkmer was very attentive and performed a much more thorough examination. He went through things with me very patiently and laid it all out in great detail that was easy to understand. I had a real good experience. I was very pleased with Dr. Volkmer and the explanation he had for my right hip pain. I am very satisfied with our plan going forward. I clearly understand what to expect. Staff was also very pleasant.
