About this business

With the oldest continuous beer license on Chicago's north side, nondescript Durkin's is a long-time favorite among Lincoln Park residents. Regulars line the bar daily, and beer-swilling crowds can be guaranteed every weekend. Fortunately, the pub is larger than it looks, extending far back from Diversey and offering darts and pinball. The walls are jammed with old photos and Irish memorabilia, and the full-size old-fashioned phone booth actually works. Dogs are welcome, too.

Love the Happy Meal!!! I have to say that a couple of years ago I was at this bar every Friday night! My friends and I would count down the minutes until work was over and then head straight over to Durkin's for their famous Happy meal. Always a great night!

Prohibition-era bar With the oldest beer license on the North side, Durkin's serves beer and food, and sponors many local leagues, including softball, ecuhre and poker. A Purdue bar, Durkin's has many, many tv's and the standard sports packages. The food comes from Select Cut Steakhouse and the burgers, though a bit pricey at $7.50, are amazing (voted 4th Best Burger in Chicago by Metromix.com). Everynight has a beer and/or food special. PROS: Specials, friendly staff CONS: Noisy, can be crowded (even with 3 rooms), bathroom... read more

Loud, Dirty, Drunken Large, loud, dirty bar frequented by college kids. Fratty atmosphere with a flip cup table. Reasonably-priced beer and drinks. Bathrooms are disgusting. Wouldn't recommend.

We tried to go to to Durkins but they were closed. So we ended up at Joe’s! Having fun! Great deals and fun Steeler fans! Love the outdoor seating in the roof too! — with Steve Henderson.
