If the person driving the patient to their routine surgery appointment is not the patient's emergency contact, and the patient has not signed a HIPPA release form with the drivers name on it, there is no reason the driver should have to remain in the lobby for you to perform the surgery. The driver can not answer any questions and you can not discuss the patient with them. All you do is waste people's time. Absolutely UNSAT!
