The reception staff (at least the one welcoming us the first day) was pretty condescending when explaining the hostel rules and I woke up with what looked like bedbug bites
Not bad, but not good for the price even for a hostel
It’s a budget hostel, so you get what you pay for, but there are better ones. I would recommend one of DC’s capsule hostels over this one. I spent 8 nights here while waiting to move into summer intern housing at GW while doing a summer program for grad school here in DC. The building is an old row house. While it’s definitely been renovated, the rooms are very hot and crowded when full with no fans or ventilation. There are as many as 12 people to a room (6 bunks). Didn't read anything about not being bike friendly!!!I lost money on the deal!!2! That always sucks
TERRIBLE. The service and attention from the moment I arrived was terrible. I arrived at 6 AM. Check-in is at 3 PM, and they wouldn't let me in even ten minutes early. When I arrived, I requested a room change to a bed without stairs; he not only didn't even try to help me, but he also yelled at me and threatened to kick me out (his name is ROAN). DO NOT GO. TERRIBLE."
