Totally unacceptable – A prescription refill requires you to see the doctor? That costs money and the process is extremely time wasting. The staff is extremely rude with no people skills. Health care is already to expensive without having this added level of frustration.
good doctor, front desk not that great, nurses rock! – I like Dr.Patel she shows great concern for her patients. And she knows her stuff. it seems like you always need an appointment to receive a refill. But then that is a good thing because to much of the same medicine can be harmful. Poor Bedside Manor and Just Plain Rude!!! – I saw Dr. Patel because I was experiencing lower abdominal pain. Dr. Patel suggested that she give me a pelvic exam. As much as I hate pelvic exams I agreed although what I really wanted was to see a GYN. I thought Dr. Patel is a woman, so it should be o.k. Dr Patel had absolutelty NO bedside manor. Unbelievable experience – I took my kids with me to see Dr. Patel, and my 3 year old had a tantrum in the office. He was making quite a fuss. I took him out of the office to calm him down, and he proceeded to carry on for a few more minutes. All of a sudden, one of the office staff came up behind my son and yelled very loudly at him to be "QUIET". Not Recommended – I have had several problems with Dr. Patel. First off - the waits are outragious - even if you have an appointement. Even when you are called in back, you may sit in the back room for up to an hour before you see the doctor. My biggest problem with this office is that that on several occasions that my pharmacy would call in a refill, Dr. Patel's office would not return their call. They also charge me a co-pay to see the doctor to get a prescription refill - no examination - just a refill. I am going to leav... read more
Beena Patel is a great doctor – I have been seeing Dr. Patel since I moved to Atlanta in 05' and I really like her. The only problem I have is the wait. I learned that it is best to make an appointment rather than walk-in. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT CLOSE TO HER WALK-IN TIME FRAME. Because although you have an appointment, the walk-in patients get seen in the order they come in, then everyone else. Terrible Service – Long waits(30mins+ easily) WITH an appointment and after they lead you back you sit some more. Horrible customer service, everyone points you to someone else when you have an issue. Can't wait to change doctors.
Dr Patel is good but not the other one – Avoid going to the younger doctor who works at Dunwoody Physician. She's definitely not good. Dr Patel must hire other experienced doctors.
Great diagnostician – I first went to Dr. Patel 3 years ago, because she accepted walk-ins and was convenient. I've stayed with her since for myself and my three sons. I've not seen the new associate, a younger doctor, a woman I think. As far as I know, there are no male doctors here. Jay works in the front office, and is not a doctor. Anyway, while the wait is often a bit long, she is good. compassionate, personable, and a good diagnostician, in my opinion. the nurses, too, are nice.
