This is the second time we have used Doug and the results were excellent.
We are remodeling a home built in 1915. My fiancé and I removed the carpet and pad (that was on the floor since the late 60s/early 70s) to reveal the ORIGINAL wood flooring. We requested quotes from several local flooring professionals. This honestly should be a zero rating. Had Doug come out do our Kitchen/Dinning room. Said he would be at our residence by 9am/then call something came up. Send out contractors and what a surprise…late!! A 1 Month project became a 3-4 month. Remind you we have dogs to accommodate these visits to assure safety. (Time off) yes, we did. Doug should not be trusted. He bid on our $30k+ budget project and lied throughout. Rarely showed up and hired 3 levels of subcontractors that abused our space and stole tools. Our contractor,my wife, and I had to fix his subcontractors faults - then during final payment, he asked for $5k more of “change orders”… literally the day of last payment. I had a very good experience hiring Dunn-Rite to do a screen and coat for my hardwoods. Doug showed up early for the quote and gave me a very competitive price. He also voiced a concern about the polish that was on the floor at the time, and came back on a Saturday morning to test out the screen and coating. The test went well and Doug coated the floor the next week. I noticed a couple of imperfections and marked them for Doug, and he came back, again on a Saturday morning, and made things right.
