Patients with chronic pain often become disabled in the pursuit of gaining relief from their pain. My philosophy in pain treatment is based on experience that patients suffer more when their functioning and quality of life are impaired. My goal is to increase the functional ability of each patient to the highest possible level. With years of experience i have the responsibility to diagnose and manage chronic pain while maximizing the benefits and minimizing the adverse effects of treatment.

He is very hard to get in contact with, thus the four stars. He has been my pain doctor for over five years and has listened to me and any questions I had. I found him after the previous doctor told me that I shouldn't be in pain. But Dr.Dunkelman worked with the insurance company rejected one of my medications and I never felt disrespected or that he was condescending. However, don't expect long, empathetic televisits.
Horrible! Zero compassion. Doesn't make eye contact. Gets annoyed when asked questions and actually stated he did not care about my questions. Rude, condescending and judgemental. No concept of Dr/patient rapport or "bedside manner." Only positives are ease of making appointments, short wait time and pleasant office staff.
Horrible. He spends 2 minutes with you, he doesn’t look at you, and makes sarcastic remarks. If you go to him from opiate addiction I am warning you he isn’t very kind, he is rude. His office is very kind when you call them, but are hungry for a copay when you see them.
Dr Dunkelman is a very direct and informative provider. He always answers my questions clearly and honestly and I feel like out of any doctors I see for my back hes been the best because he listens and responds so I can understand. I really feel confident in his opinions.
He took time and listened to all my complaints.
Wonderful experience, and great doctor!
Dr. Dunkelman has been a great doctor. He really listens to the patients symptoms and tries his best to help make daily life enjoyable for someone experiencing pain. I never feel nervous or anxious when visiting him and he always makes me feel comfortable.
A great doctor in the area.
I'm a hospital Critical Care RN. I would not send my worst enemy to him. He doesn't listen to his patients nor does he make eye contact. And he makes sarcastic comments. I would never use him or recommend him.
