Larry Duncan originally founded Boat City on Rivers Avenue in 1970. Throughout the years he brought thousands of Lowcountry families to the boating lifestyle. In 1996, Larry's son, Jim, returned to assume the responsibility for the company after a successful engineering career. The entire team was easy to deal with from our sales rep, Logan to Larry the sales manager and Jim Duncan the owner. Everyone I came in contact with was smiling and accommodating. There isn't enough space on here to express how much I have enjoyed doing business Duncans. Family first dealership! Like no other in Charleston!
I purchased two boats from this company my last boat has never been serviced correctly every time it's been there from the check engine light not being reset after service to covers not reinstalled in the center console... misleading warranties and apathetic management... looks like I won't be from this company again... after 8 months of calling and threatening to pull my business I finally offered me a refund on a warranty... I told them to have a nice day...
