Dr. Seawell is someone I've referred to for many, many years and he has never failed to disappoint. He is compassionate, skilled, able to work both with youth and parents, which often is tricky to balance, in ways that enrich the health of entire family ecosystems. I could not recommend him enough. As a Psychologist and a mother in psychological crisis with her defiant 9 yr. old son, I found Dr. Seawell unprepared to deal directly with our issues in a Cognitive- Behavioral manner that we agreed upon. Instead, this doctor approached us using a Dynamic therapeutic approach which is not helpful for immediate psychological distress. I also found him judgemental, which is not a desirable trait for a psychologist.
