We spoke to the receptionist/intake person about scheduling an appointment with a provider. Unfortunately, only one provider was able to do an in-person appointment, so I asked if we could have a 15 min consultation. I let her know that we had previously worked with a therapist and it didn't work out, so it was important for us to find someone we felt a connection with. Receptionist attempted to collect private information before doing standard enrollment forms including HIPPA. When I asked to sign the HIPPA form first she stayed quiet so I began explaining what the HIPPA form is and she interrupted me and snapped “I KNOW WHAT HIPPA IS!” I continued explaining why is should be signed first before collecting private information and she said that this is how “they have always done it, even long before she worked there.” Still refused to let me sign one first and said “obviously it’s not share... read more

The medical practice violated HIPAA rules. I made concerns about my son, who is a patient, to his therapist. The therapist made it clear to me in our initial meeting that anything I shared would not be shared with the boy's mother. The therapist set rules that anything I shared would be confidential between her and I and my son. I am now receiving threats of legal action because the therapist shared HIPAA protected information with the boy's (client's) mother. Had an appt and never got a link to connect to the session. Phone number is never picked up. If you have actual mental health issues go elsewhere. This place does not care nor bothers to make sure you have e good service.
