Referral for pain management was denied without a reason. It took 2 months to receive the denial. Since no one at the clinic, I got a Duke Patient Care advocate involved. Another joke… It took 3 weeks for the Advocate to contact me. All she did was contact Dr. Dimon, the Director, and asked why the referral was denied. I’ve been a pt at Duke Pain for 7-8 years. Ever since Prakken left, it’s been “Duke Circus for Dishing out Pain.” I’ve been through 5 providers, 4 of whom left — with good reason. I used to be seen monthly, but yesterday was my first appointment since FEBRUARY’22 (!!!!)
