Live in a 2 bedroom apartment.. my bill for June 2026 was $215, $170 was purely paying for Duke's rider costs. I have called multiple times over the years and no one can explain this to me. This is getting ridiculous
They don't pick up the phone when you call
I wish I could give Duke 0 stars. Has to be the worst energy provider in the country. They wanted to charge me $140 for 13 days of service provided TO AN APARTMENT I HAD ALREADY MOVED OUT OF AND CLOSED THE ACCOUNT prior to the billing date. When I called customer service and asked why there was no record of my calling to end service, they said someone (“maybe your landlord”) must have called and turned the service back on.
