I dont like not having a choice but as a native I never really have. Most of the time CS is great but they are "turn off" happy and the cost of power in a 2BDRM apt has been running me upwards of 200.00+ in summer and 150.00+ in winter. Not cool and tough for families like mine, even with 2 parents to pay the bills!
Progress Energy makes me want to move out of Pinellas County. Never had issues in Hillsborough. I pray for the day utilities are deregulated in Florida and they have to adjust their business model to actually provide good customer service and be competitive. My guess is if utilities were deregulated in this state Progress would be the first to go out of business.
Prices simply too high.
This Power Company revels in turning power off and their customer service department gleefully states that it wont be on until up to midnite. Very nasty company but they have a monopoly in the area.
