Dr. Patel does not take skin cancer seriously. She also lacks knowledge and experience with basic and widely used techniques for treatment and prevention of skin cancer. The one treatment she does know something about she will push you to accept even after you decline it. I pushed and pushed for the referral to get into Duke because I thought I would be getting the higher standards and expertise of an academic medical center. Lmao where do I STARTTTTT ! For one I’ll thank ms.Powers Tremendously she Did an amazing job on my laser but my major issue is that I qualified for a financial grant for my procedures until my insurance went through started my session and had 3 left randomly I get a Reschedule notification saying that machines are down… Than a week later, I get a message saying that they are no longer able to do my laser treatment 200 out-of-pocket then goes to Say that they’re cutting down and cutting back and also that they’re firing peopl... read more
I've received excellent care from the provider that I see there, Elizabeth West, PA. Whether it's a face to face visit or via Duke MyChart she always provides thorough information in a competent and professional manner. On the down side, it is very difficult to get an appointment with a dermatologist and it doesn't matter if you're a new patient or an established patient. I don't know if they don't have enough practitioners there for the number of patients wanting to be seen or if there's a shortage of dermatologists in the ... read more
Great place and nice staff
Just trying to get an appointment was an absolute nightmare. My doctor had to submit a referral 3 times for them to finally get me on the waiting list to be able to even schedule an appointment. A couple months later I got a message that it was time to call to schedule my appointment, only to be put back on the waiting list since I was placed on the wrong list the first time for pediatric patients instead of adult patients.
