We live on the first floor. No lights or video cameras at the side where there is a bedroom and living room window. WE HAD SOMEONE WITH A GUN TRY AND BREAK IN THROUGH A WINDOW. Broke the window. WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE AT METCAP OR STARLIGHT to see if we are ok or to let us know when our window will be fixed! This happened 3 days ago and our window still isn’t fixed properly. I have been living in this building for 3 years now and I’ve had a great experience with the management team. Elena K was very supportive and helpful when I first moved in back in 2023. Since then. I changed apartments within the building and the process was very smooth. The management/superintendent were always helpful when I needed anything for my apartment. Once my microwave lights stopped working and they replaced it with a brand new microwave. Besides, they assisted with other light fixtures, and also fully redid the ba... read more
295 Dufferin St is a terrible building! DO NOT waste your money! Management is awful, the halls are dark and dingy, there is plaster cracking on the ceiling. Not to mention, many people complain about having cockroaches, and they do nothing about it. The summer, the a/c NEVER works and in the winter the heat wasn’t working for about a week. The underground parking looks like it’s going to fall. They say luxury living, that is the biggest false advertising I’ve heard.
If you absolutely hate sleep or peaceful enjoyment of your unit, this is the place for you! Every morning I’m awoken by screaming/crying children. Bought expensive ear plugs but the screams still get through. It’s horrible and no one mentioned it to me at all when looking at this place. I’m beyond miserable here.
Worst place I’ve ever lived in my life. Bed bugs and bad management. Still have nightmares about living here. Don’t move here
