Learning music with Mr. Dudley has been an absolute joy for our family. My children and I take ukulele lessons together, and each session feels like a blend of learning, laughter, and genuine appreciation for the art of music. As an adult electric guitar student at Dudley’s, it has been such a rewarding experience. My lessons with Daryl are done in such a fun and encouraging environment for a beginner guitarist, and a space where I’m able to hone and practice on my craft.
Mr. Dudley taught music classes at The District School during the winter and spring of 2025. He did an incredible job connecting with students and was engaging and joyful as an instructor. He helped students develop a strong understanding of music theory, including rhythm, harmony, musical scales, and notes. He also taught bucket drumming, where students applied their knowledge of music theory through hands-on practice and performance.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed summer camp here. They were a bit nervous since they do not have much music experience but thanks to the warm welcome and encouragement they were given by Mr. Dudley they came home on the first day excited about coming back. Looking forward to taking regular lessons here in the fall.
Daryl has not only technical expertise but also a keen sense of adjusting his approach so that I can learn whatever he’s trying to teach in the most efficient and effective way possible, a true artist at his craft.
