Best place to pop in when you need a gift You can't get a bad bottle of wine there, and I'm not exaggerating. Whether you're paying six bucks or sixty, you know you'll take home something of quality. The sommeliers there are excellent in making reccomendations, so don't be shy about letting them know what you need the wine for (or whom). Seriously the best store for all of your wine and spirits needs! Robert who runs the shop is amazing... he’ll lead you to the exact wine or spirit you need all well within your budget. He recommend things you’ve never thought of or heard of... and you will be so glad you listened!!! They deliver and wrap gifts - are so reliable!!! They make the holidays and other gift giving times a breeze. Be sure to check them out if you’re in town, and if not - CALL! You’re in the BEST hands ever!!
I used to shop at Du Vin when it first opened, that must be at least 30 years ago, maybe 35. The wines at the time were arranged according to price. In those days you could get wines that were $3-4-5 bottle, lesser know appellations. It was a good way to learn about wines...Rene was cool. He might still remember me, I was the sommelier at the Century Plaza Hotel and just starting my career. I lived about a mile from his shop off Sunset.
The best service. Kind and attentive people. Wonderful selection of drinks.
If you are in West Hollywood, this is the shop to check out. Excellent French wine selection with great prices
Rene Averseng is THE best. We have known him for decades. Nobody does it better. He is family to us.
