DTE Energy is a rip off! I just received a $488.11 monthly bill for a single family ranch style house, that is ridiculous, I know it's been hot out however I truly feel like DTE is price gauging there customers and something really need to be done about DTE Energy over charging there customers! I have been in my house since 2007 and I have never received a bill this high in the summer or winter, this is freaking ridiculous my car payment, car insurance, house insurance, and many other bills aren't this high. 😡😡I don't know... read more
Electricity is an essential service and should be publicly owned—not controlled by a for-profit monopoly like DTE. Despite constant rate hikes, we still deal with frequent, prolonged outages even after mild weather. Their infrastructure is outdated, and they clearly prioritize profits over reliability. To make matters worse, their online outage map is not user-friendly and is hard to visually see the live power outages. Their old map was better. Absolutely unacceptable for the prices we’re paying. Michigan deserves better.
