Are any other black girls or ethnic textured hair people being told that they have to pay for 2 blowout prices for an extended blowout? The base charge times two basically to get your hair done?

Very disappointing experience at Drybar Bakersfield. I booked a dry styling appointment and washed and dried my hair at home beforehand. My hair was about 90% dry, with only a small area needing a quick touch-up that would have taken less than a minute to dry. The stylist told me I would have to pay the full blowout price—an extra $25—because my hair was not completely dry. I've been to this location three times now and what I love most is the consistency. It's super easy to book an appointment online and I've gotten a different stylist every time but my hair consistently comes out looking and smelling amazing.

I really wanted to like this place. I love the ambience and the customer service. But after they finished my blowout it didn’t stay for 10 minutes. By the time I got my Mother’s Day photo shoot it was flat, absolutely no bounce and no curls. I went in so I can get volume hair but if I did my own hair the curls would have stayed longer. Really disappointed, not worth the $59. And my hair is gonna look really flat in the expensive professional photos I bought.

Very nice facility. t was my first time, and she did an excellent job on my hair. I will be going back regularly.
