I travel the U.S. for work, and eat BBQ in regions in which it is appropriate (and even when it's not!). Until today, Country Tavern in Kilgore, TX had the juiciest brisket I've tried. Drunky's now holds the crown. Nice folks (great chatting with you, Nate!), superior ambience and delicious brisket!! Best BBQ I've tried in Seattle. Next time I want to ring the dinger with a big dang hammer....

This place really does a great job from the food to the inside seatind. Rustic Americana interior and patio tables on the outside. The food is incredible. The slow smoked brisket was so tender that you won't even need a knife. An excellent micro brew menu to go along with your meal. Shiner bock was my choice with the brisket and beans. I will definitely be coming back for more.
Simply amazing. Best cornbread on the planet. The meat is done so perfectly, turns to bbq flavored butter in your mouth. Only complaint, PICKLES in the potato salad need more zip! Loved everything, though, hand chopped firewood for the smoke, music, food and decorum. Nailed it.
