I used to play the drums a very, very long time ago. I'm writing a one-person show right now, and I wanted to incorporate the drums in my act. So I went searching for a drum teacher on the internet, of course. I accidentally came across Stefano's website and reached out to him. I had no idea what to expect, but he was very patient and knowledgeable with where to start me. I really had to start over because I lost all the muscle memory. He went down to the basics, which was fantastic, he is re-teaching me how to read the m... read more

My New Year’s resolution for 2025 was to find a creative outlet or hobby that got me away from screens. When trying to figure out what that could be, I remembered that when I was in high school, I learned the very basics of drumming and thought it would be a great option to dive into. I had originally been searching for something very casual, maybe once a month, but I am so glad I found Stefano and have made it a weekly practice. I don’t think I would have gotten the same fulfillment out of lessons if I was doing it more cas... read more

As an adult student with no prior percussion experience (but having harbored a lifelong desire to learn), I found in Stefano a wonderful guide to getting up on my feet behind the kit. This built my confidence early and has incentivized me to work on the basics my own fashion alongside other musical pursuits. Stefano has a warm, approachable manner, a great sense of humor, and a boundless affection for music that is contagious. If he charged twice as much it would still be tremendously affordable, as it is always a pleasure ... read more

I tried to teach myself to play using YouTube but realized I needed a sense of discipline to formally learn the basics (especially since I wanted to learn the traditional grip). That’s what made me seek out a teacher. What I really love about classes with Stefano is that we discuss musical preferences, expectations, and goals for the class right away during the first meeting. Additionally, I really like how he structures the lessons, which makes them and my practice sessions much more enjoyable and something that I look for... read more

My son was nervous before his first lesson with Stefano because he did not know what to expect. He came out of the lesson with a look of confidence and happiness on his face like he thought he was the coolest kid alive. He was like a different kid. I couldn’t BELIEVE IT!! He couldn’t wait for the next lesson and was banging the beat to “7 Nation Army” on his thighs.  It’s a glorious feeling to see your kid have enthusiasm sparked in their heart with happiness and confidence in their eyes. Stefano has a special type of conn... read more
